Mister Sarri and Bentancur spoke at the end of the match against Fiorentina to analyze the outcome of the match at Artemio Franchi. These are their statements:
MAURIZIO SARRI
“It was not a high-level game from a technical point of view, and the situation was made complicated by the changes we used to replace the injured players. Having fresh players in the final stages of the game would have been important. I am aware that a team with less character would lose such a game. We need to grow a lot in terms of quality, tactics and athletics. There had also been a physical decline in the first two games, but then this summer we had several players in the Copa America, others in the infirmary and others who hadn't played for a while and it has taken time to get them into the rhythm of the game. Will Pjanic and Douglas Costa be available for Madrid? For Miralem it could be a minor problem, we'll see tomorrow morning.”
RODRIGO BENTANCUR
"Today we did not have a good match technically. It was hot but it is not an excuse. We are not worried about Madrid, we have many players who have returned from the National teams. I have to wait for my moment, the coach has confidence in me. On the field? I like playing in front of the defence.”
