The Juventus Women’s First Team are back in Serie A action this weekend, with Matchday 13 taking them away to Tuscany to take on second-placed Fiorentina at Viola Park. Kick-off on Sunday, 15 December, is locked in for 15:30 CET in Florence.
Top of the table from the outset, the Bianconere remain unbeaten in Serie A this season, and will want to record a second win over the Viola this season after their 4-0 triumph in Biella earlier in the campaign.
Fiorentina, meanwhile, come into the weekend sitting second in the table and six points behind Juventus.
So, let’s look at some of the more interesting statistics around this weekend’s fixture.
Head-to-head
- Fiorentina are, along with Sassuolo, one of the two sides Juventus have beaten the most times (14) in Serie A. They are also the side against whom the Bianconere have kept the most clean sheets (11) and against whom they have scored in the most matches (18, again like Sassuolo).
- Juventus have scored 43 Serie A goals against Fiorentina, only scoring more (49) against Sassuolo.
- Juventus have won their last three Serie A matches against Fiorentina without conceding a goal and could make it four in a row for the first time since between November 2018 and October 2020.
Interesting facts
- The three players with the most goal contributions in Serie A all play for Juventus and Fiorentina: Veronica Boquete (11, four goals and seven assists), Arianna Caruso (nine, five goals and four assists) and Cristiana Girelli (nine, eight goals and one assist).
- With 10 wins and two draws, Juventus are one of four sides in Europe’s top-five leagues yet to lose this season, along with Lyon, Chelsea and Barcelona. Should they avoid defeat on Sunday, it will be the fifth time the Bianconere have gone unbeaten in the opening 13 matchdays of a campaign.
- The Bianconere haven’t lost in any of their last eight away games in Serie A. They previously managed nine such results between September 2017 and March 2018, and 28 between April 2019 and February 2022.
- Juventus are currently on a 15-match unbeaten run in Serie A, only managing longer streaks between 2019 and 2022 (54) and between 2017 and 2018 (17).

- Two of Amalie Vangsgaard’s three Serie A goal contributions this season came against Fiorentina - a goal and an assist.
- Fiorentina could become, after Sassuolo, the second team against whom Valentina Bergamaschi has scored against with three different teams - scoring against them with Brescia in November 2018 and with AC Milan in March 2022.
Opposition Focus
- Considering teams in Europe’s top-five leagues, against no side has Alexandra Johansdottir scored more goals than Juventus (two, just like against Parma). Those goals both came on 21 March, 2023.
