Juventus travel to the Netherlands with a slender 2-1 advantage over PSV Eindhoven ahead of their second leg knockout round play-off encounter on Wednesday evening.
Ahead of their Champions League showdown, take a look at five striking stats before the match-up against the Dutch:
FIRST LEG ADVANTAGE | Juventus have always progressed in their last 20 Champions Cup/Champions League knockout phase double-headers after winning the first leg, including all 11 times in the Champions League (since 1992). Their last defeat was against Rangers in 1978-79 (1-0 home win and 0-2 away defeat).
THREE’S A CHARM | Juventus have won both matches against PSV in this season's Champions League – only five teams have achieved three wins against the same opponent in a single edition in the competition: Ajax v AC Milan (1994-95), Bayern Munich v Real Madrid (1999-00), Liverpool v PSV (2006-07), Manchester United v Roma (2007-08) and Barcelona v PSG (2014-15).
HOME FORTRESS | PSV have remained unbeaten in their last 12 home matches in major European competitions (7W, 5D), winning their last three. The last time they achieved four home wins in a row in the Champions League was between May and December 2005.
PASS MASTER | 21% of Manuel Locatelli's passes in this season’s Champions League have been line-breaking passes, the highest percentage for a player this campaign (min. 500 minutes played). The Italian is one of only three midfielders with more than 100 line-breaking passes in this edition of the tournament (103), along with Joshua Kimmich and Angelo Stiller.
DRIBBLING DUO | Thanks to Francisco Conceicao (23) and Kenan Yildiz (20), this is the first Champions League season in which two Juventus players have completed at least 20 successful dribbles since the 2014-15 season with Carlos Tevez (29) and Alvaro Morata (20).
