Reaction from the Olimpico

“We played well today. I think we can be satisfied with the way we played. There were no real signs of danger until added time, but when you want to get a result you can’t afford to switch off. You need to show attention to detail but today we weren’t able to manage possession well in the last ten seconds.

“Our performance for the majority of the game was positive. The mentality we have means we want to dominate every game and all the players gave everything today, so the only thing we’re disappointed with is the result. We’ll learn from it, though. You can’t ever ease off at this level.

“Each game needs to play an important role in our development, which is ongoing. There were some good moments and the positioning of my players was very good. We’ll build on that because I thought that was very important today.” 

LEONARDO BONUCCI 

“We played like Juventus for 93 minutes and 45 seconds. We were solid in defence, passed the ball well and didn’t give away any chances, but then we conceded a goal because we eased off. We need to improve from the first minute to the last if we’re going to achieve our objectives. There are different spells within games and we need to be able to read those. If we’re aggressive, clinical and solid then no team is going to be able to cause us problems. We weren’t troubled at all until the goal and we created some good chances. We all need to learn from what happened.”
