Riccardo Neri honoured in hometown Castelfiorentino

From today, the stadium of Castelfiorentino bears a new name, that of Riccardo Neri.

In honour of the young goalkeeper who began his footballing career in the Tuscan city before joining Juventus' academy, a touching ceremony was held today to remember the tragic passing of Riccardo and team-mate Alessio Ferramosca in 2006.

The gathering, entitled "Il cuore dello Sport", was held at the now-named Stadio Comunale Riccardo Neri with the Assocazione Riccardo Neri e Alessio Ferramosca Onlus as well as Juventus Team Manager and J|Academy Director Gianluca Pessotto among those present.
