Gianluca Rocchi has been announced as match referee for Saturday's Coppa Italia final between Juventus and Milan at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome (kick-off 20.45 CEST).
This is the first time that the 42-year old will take charge of a Juve match in Italy’s principal domestic cup competition, although he has previously officiated an Italian Super Cup final featuring the Old Lady in 2014 (a 4-0 victory over Lazio).
Meanwhile, the Bianconeri’s Serie A record with Rocchi in the middle reads an impressive 22 wins from 27 outings, including a 100 per cent record over the Rossoneri courtesy of successes in 2008, 2010 and 2013.
Joining Rocchi in his duties will be assistant referees Filippo Meli and Andrea Padovan, fourth official Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni, goal-line officials Paolo Valeri and Andrea Gervasoni and additional referee Marco Barbirati.
