Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has been appointed to the UEFA Executive Committee, where he will represent the 220 ECA member clubs alongside re-elected ECA chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge for the next two years 2015-17.

Agnelli was also re-elected as a member of the ECA Executive Board, a position he has held since 2012.

The European Club Association (ECA) is recognised by UEFA and FIFA and is composed of club representatives from 53 national federations.

At the beginning of this new Membership Cycle, 11 new Board Members were elected to join the four existing members, Umberto Gandini (Milan), Ivan Gazidis (Arsenal), Josep Bartolomeu (Barcelona) and Evgeni Giner (PFC CSKA Moscow) who represent ECA at the UEFA Professional Football Strategy Council (PFSC).

Today’s General Assembly in Geneva also marked the arrival of 20 new ECA member clubs, bringing the total to 220 (106 ordinary and 114 associated members) for the next two years.
