DYBALA STEALS THE SHOW
Man of the match and man of the moment, Paulo Dybala marked his 100th Juventus match in perfect fashion on Sunday afternoon:
It took La Joya just 16 minutes to get on the scoresheet to reach a landmark 50th career goal with the Bianconeri before going on to strike twice after half-time to complete a stunning hat-trick – his second of the season already after hitting three in Juve’s other Serie A away match against Genoa.
In Serie A, La Joya is averaging a goal every 37 minutes and he also became the first player to score in all of the first four league games in Italy’s top tier since Luca Toni in 2005/2006.
Furthermore, Dybala now has 10 goals to his name since inheriting the iconic number 10 jersey in the summer.
MIRALEM MAKES HIS MARK AGAIN
Sunday’s was another impressive performance from Miralem Pjanic, who recorded Juventus’ best statistics for passes completed (78), touches (101), interceptions (3) and possessions regained (12).
Giorgio Chiellini led the way in terms of long passes (10), while Juan Cuadrado whipped in the most crosses (4), provided the highest number of knockdowns (3) and created the most chances on goal (3).
BIANCONERI FILL THEIR BOOTS
Driven forwards by the indomitable Dybala, Juventus have now boast their best goal return (13) in their first four Serie A matches since the 1959/60 season.
Last but not least, the Bianconeri have now found the net in 33 consecutive league fixtures, hitting 73 goals in the process: the perfect way to build up towards Wednesday night’s showdown against Fiorentina at Allianz Stadium.
