To be the leading club in Italy and firmly among Europe’s elite. This was Andrea Agnelli’s aim upon being appointed Juventus president on 19 May 2010.
Seven years and 11 trophies later, the 41-year-old has certainly done just that, steering the Bianconeri to the historic feats of five straight Scudetti and three consecutive Coppa Italia titles in the process.
Juventus has backed up its successes on the field with further triumphs off it, as the club continues to lead the way as an example of organisational solidity and financial sustainability.
This has been and will continue to be fundamental in the Bianconeri’s already very evident growth to becoming one of European football’s major forces.
Reaching two Champions League finals in three seasons is certainly testament to a notable rise that, thanks to Agnelli’s ambition, drive and determination, shows no signs of stopping.
For it is in Juventus’ DNA to always be looking forwards to the next goal and the next milestone – no more so than at this very stage of the season.
Just days after celebrating an unprecedented third Coppa Italia in a row, the Bianconeri are focusing their thoughts on creating even more history, starting with the chance to claim a sixth successive Serie A crown.
