Three of our South Americans were in action for their respective nations last night, in what was the qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup.
Danilo and Alex Sandro tasted victory with Brazil as they defeated Paraguay 2-0 courtesy of goals from Neymar and Paqueta. Our Bianconeri full-backs featured for the full 90 minutes in which they helped Edersen keep a clean sheet.
Also on the field was Juan Cuadrado for Colombia. Despite only managing to secure a 2-2 draw against Argentina, he provided a crucial assist in the 94th minute for Miguel Borja to ensure points were shared between the two teams.
Bentancur served a suspension as Uruguay drew 0-0 to Venezuela. The World Cup qualifiers will resume again in September.
