Last night he was known as CR11 for having scored in 11 consecutive Serie A matches. Cristiano Ronaldo’s incredible run saw him become the third player in history to reach such a feat after Gabriel Omar Batistuta (1994/95) and Fabio Quagliarella (2018/19), and should he score against Inter next weekend, he will set a new record in Serie A.

But that is not all, Ronaldo’s goal also means that he is now the joint-best Portuguese goalscorer in Serie A, having reached Rui Costa’s record of 42 goals. His opener against SPAL, his 21st league goal this season, also saw him equal the number of goals he scored last season for the Bianconeri, putting him on track to go beyond his tally from the 2018/19 campaign.
