Juventus Women are back in Serie A action on Sunday, January 21, with the Bianconere making the trip to Emilia-Romagna to take on Sassuolo at the Stadio Enzo Ricci. Kick-off is set for 15:00 CET.

The Bianconere will be keen to continue their perfect start to 2024, having won each of their three games so far against Roma (Italian Super Cup), AC Milan (Serie A) and Sampdoria (Italian Cup).

Previewing the game against Sassuolo, we've looked into some of the more interesting statistics surrounding the fixture.

THREAT FROM AFAR | Juventus have scored four times from outside the box in Serie A this season, second to only Roma’s seven. Sassuolo, though, much like Juventus and Napoli, are yet to concede a goal from distance this term.

AIM TO OPEN THE FLOODGATES | Only Napoli and Pomigliano (eight) have conceded at least two goals in more games than Sassuolo’s six. Juventus, on the other hand, have conceded one goal or fewer on 10 occasions this season - equal with Roma as the best record of this kind in Serie A.

PICKING UP PACE | Juventus have won 10 of their opening 12 games this season, which is the sixth time they’ve done so in Serie A. Only Torres (seven times) have managed the feat more often in the era of three points for a win (since 1995/96)

MAGIC MAELLE | Sassuolo are, along with Sampdoria, one of two teams against whom Maelle Garbino has scored and assisted in Serie A this season - both came in the October 15 meeting in Biella.

FAMILIAR SURROUNDINGS | Sofia Cantore returns to the Stadio Enzo Ricci on Sunday, having spent the 2021/22 season on loan with Sassuolo. Then, in 14 appearances, she scored eight goals and provided five assists. She has scored against the Neroverdi for Hellas Verona in January 2020 and for Juventus in March 2018.
