The Juventus Museum’s temple of trophies had to make room today. Because two cups new cups have been added to the already large display: that of the women's Scudetto (delivered to the team at the Allianz Stadium last Friday) and the men's silverware, raised by Mister Sarri's team on Saturday, on the final day of the Serie A season.
It was the Juventus coach, Maurizio Sarri, who represented the First Team, as he delivered the Cup to the Museum and its President, Paolo Garimberti.
From Stron9er to LEAD3RS… the two trophies came together in one meeting spot.
Coach Rita Guarino – together with Captain Sara Gama and Stefano Braghin, Head of Juventus Women – brought the women's trophy to the Juventus Museum, for a day of celebration.
THE WORDS OF THE PROTAGONISTS
SARRI
“Just being here, in the trophy room, and to breathe the air of history: this is one of the largest trophy rooms in Europe. Bringing the Scudetto cup here is nice. It was a season in which everything happened worldwide, lasting 12 months, and the championship victory is thanks to the whole group and the whole environment.”
GARIMBERTI
Men’s Scudetto: “This has been a championship beyond imagination and tradition: a championship suspended and then resumed, and which was played in a period when football is never played, with a game every every days. Winning was a test of endurance, with a Juve that went on a good run before the lockdown and then remained in the lead.”
Women's Scudetto: “A dutiful assignment. The girls have shown in these three years, by winning three consecutive titles, to be a very strong team. It is great to be able to put two Scudetti in the same room, male and female, on the same day.”
GAMA
“We deserved this trophy. We have been very determined and perseverance has rewarded us. We have won all the matches, drawing only two. I'm glad to see our section here (in the museum) is growing.”
GUARINO
“This cup has a different flavour, since we would have liked to conquer it until the last breath on the field. We are proud because we had a great journey without leaving anything to chance.”
BRAGHIN
“Like every year, coming to the Juventus Museum to bring a trophy is always a great emotion. We are writing a small path of history. The obsessive application of work and vocation to the cause made the difference and allowed the girls to achieve this result.”
