Paolo Tagliavento has been named referee for Sunday evening’s encounter between Fiorentina and Juventus at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
The 43-year-old is to officiate the Bianconeri for the 24th time in all competitions, with the club’s record under his tutelage currently standing at nine victories, five draws and nine defeats.
Terni-born Tagliavento, who is set to run the rule over a match involving the Old Lady for the first time this season, has already refereed this identical fixture once in the past: a goalless draw between Fiorentina and Juventus at the Artemio Franchi back in September 2012.
Tagliavento will be joined this time in Tuscany by assistant referees Alessandro Giallatini and Alessandro Costanzo, goal-line officials Marco Guida and Daniele Doveri and fourth official Alfonso Marrazzo.
