FIRST OF A KIND - By becoming the first team to defeat Olympique Lyonnais in the first-leg of the Women’s Champions League, Juventus inflicted only the third defeat on the French side in 41 UWCL matches. All three defeats have occured over the last two seasons (2020/21 Paris Saint Germain, 2021/22 Bayern Munich).
ITALIAN EXCELLENCE - The Bianconere have scored four goals in their two home encounters with Lyon, two more than the other Italian teams accumulated in the previous three meetings (2008/09 Verona, 2009/10 Torres and 2014/15 Brescia).
EXPERIENCE COUNTS - Cristiana Girelli has scored nine goals from nine appearances in this season’s UWCL, including the qualifying phase, just one goal less than her total from the previous 10 seasons in which she participated in the Women’s Champions League.
SHARP SHOOTER - Considering only the group stage and knock-out phase, Girelli has netted five times from her six shots on target.
GAME CHANGER - In her first Women’s Champions League campaign, Agnese Bonfantini has scored in each of the last two matches, both as a substitute and both at the Allianz Stadium.
