By now Juventus were no longer playing in pink, but in the black and white stripes for which they would become famous the world over, as well as earning the nickname Bianconeri of course.
These iconic colours were brought over from Notts County, who answered the call of Juventus’ first ever foreign player – Englishman, Gordon Thomas Savage – and Juventus’ association with the Nottingham club remains to this day.
Indeed, County would help the Bianconeri cut the ribbon on their current home by playing a friendly match on the night of Allianz Stadium’s inauguration on 8 September 2011.
This was, however, a decade where matters off the pitch eventually took over with the outbreak of the First World War bringing a sudden stop to the game.
