Last night saw Bianconeri meet on opposing sides as Italy and Spain played out a 1-1 draw in their friendly at Udinese’s Stadio Friuli.

Both strikes came within three minutes of each other in the second half, with Aduriz Zubeldia marking his international debut by cancelling out Lorenzo Insigne’s 67th-minute opener.

Gianluigi Buffon and Leonardo Bonucci played the full 90 minutes for the Azzurri, while Simone Zaza entered the fray on the hour-mark as a replacement for Graziano Pelle. Daniele Rugani was an unused substitute.

Wearing the white of Spain, Alvaro Morata led the line for the visitors before being substituted on 86 minutes, Alcacer Garcia his replacement for the game’s closing stages.

Meanwhile, over in La Paz, a stoppage-time strike from Edwin Cardona enabled Juan Cuadrado’s Colombia to breathe new life into their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign with a dramatic 3-2 win over Bolivia.

It appeared that the star-studded visitors had squandered a two-goal lead when Bolivia staged a rousing comeback at the Estadio Hernando Siles, only for Jose Pekermen’s men to storm back and claim the spoils through Cardona’s low shot into the bottom corner.

Juventus winger Cuadrado featured for 85 minutes of the encounter before making way for Marlos Moreno.
