27 April 2015
Juventus suffered their first Derby della Mole defeat for 20 years after Torino triumphed 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday afternoon.
The Bianconeri, who had previously lost to their city cousins in April 1995, went ahead on 35 minutes thanks to another Andrea Pirlo set-piece special. The veteran midfielder has now scored 27 direct free-kicks in Serie A, leaving him just one short of Sinisa Mihajlovic’s record.
But Granata strikes courtesy of Matteo Darmian and former forward Fabio Quagliarella turned the game on its head either side of half-time, signalling the Old Lady had conceded two goals in a match for the first time since February’s 2-2 draw away at Cesena.
