The week that signals the return of competitive football and Juventus’s opening game of 2023 has begun. The first match back since the World Cup is away to Cremonese at 18:30 CET on Wednesday 4 January. Max Allegri’s side will be back at Allianz Stadium three days later on Saturday 7 January to welcome Udinese to Turin.
The focus is firmly fixed on the clash at the Stadio Zini in Cremona for now, with technical drills on the agenda in training on Monday. The players worked on the defensive side of the game in advanced positions and also in their own half of the pitch while also carrying out individual drills.
Wojciech Szczesny was in full training on Monday.
Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes were back at the JTC for the first time since securing World Cup success with Argentina at the World Cup.
The traditional pre-match press conference will take place at midday on Tuesday and everything the boss says will be broadcast live on Juventus TV.
The players will be back in training on Tuesday afternoon.
