Andrea Fortunato passed away on a sad Tuesday in April. He showed class on and off the field before leukaemia cruelly took him from us.
That was 20 years ago but despite the fact two decades have since gone by, Andrea still has a place in the hearts of Juventus supporters whose thoughts, along with those of the club, are with his loved ones at this difficult time.
Como, Genoa, Pisa, Genoa once more and finally Juve, where he was signed by Bianconeri coach Giovanni Trapattoni and would go on to become a regular starter for the team he supported as a boy.
His calm on the pitch and in the dressing room taught us to fight to overcome any hurdle in life, just as he did down the left flank with class and character.
Andrea died too young but his memory lives on all these years later.
