Matchday 5 of the Serie A season was another good one for Juventus Women, with our Bianconere shining in their 2-1 win away at Fiorentina.
As a result of the win and the performance, three Bianconere were named in the official FIGC Team of the Week.
Cecilia Salvai: Of all of the defenders to have maintained a 100% pass accuracy in their own half over the weekend, Salvai was the one who attempted and completed the most with 19.
Lineth Beerensteyn: Beyond her goal, Beerensteyn was the player with the most number of touches (10) in the opposition box in Serie A over the weekend.
Cristiana Girelli: Not only did Girelli score the winning goal late on, but her four shots on goal were only bettered by Kosovare Asllani's six.
BIANCONERE ON LOAN IN SERIE B...
Glancing beyond the top flight and into Serie B, a couple of Bianconere impressed out on loan as well. Jenny Requirez scored in Hellas Verona's 5-0 win over Ravenna, while Camilla Forcinella kept a clean sheet and saved a penalty as Genoa beat Bologna 1-0.
