The FIFA World Cup Final will be a Bianconeri derby!
After Blaise Matuidi and France defeated Belgium on Tuesday night, it was Mario Mandzukic, Marko Pjaca and Croatia's turn in the semi-finals on Wednesday night against the three lions of England.
At the Luzhniki Stadium, it was England who took the lead just five minutes into the match as Kieran Trippier fired in a free kick that David Beckham would've been proud of to put England up 1-0.
It took until the 68th minute for Croatia to equalize as Ivan Perisic was first to a cross beating Kyle Walker to stab home the equalizer.
The match would go into extra time and that's when Mandzukic would score perhaps the biggest goal of his life. A hopeful ball was headed back into the box and Mandzukic was first to it pouncing and firing a left-footed strike past Jordan Pickford. Croatia would hold on to the 2-1 advantage to earn their first-ever World Cup Final spot!
It will be a return to the Luzhniki as Matuidi and France battle Mandzukic, Pjaca and Croatia at 17.00 on Sunday. May the best team win!
