The announcement was made a few weeks ago, as our very own Kenan Yildiz was named the winner of the ‘Golden Boy Web’ 2024, an award for the most voted player on the web.
This evening, 16 December, Turin hosted the Gal, as all the winners in the various categories of the ‘Golden Boy 2024’ - which every year rewards Europe's most talented youngsters - were handed their trophies.
The Juventus number 10 was the most voted on the web, and was delighted to receive his prize.
“I am very happy and grateful to all the fans for this award, this is really a special evening. My message to the youngsters? Listen to your parents and believe in yourself!"
The Turkish international went on to say, “Thank you to all the fans who voted for me; we are all together, we win together, and this is for you. It was a very good year for me, which teaches me that if I do my job well, always aiming for the best, good things can come. Our season? Nothing changes after Venezia, we have to be focused in every game, because that's how football is. We always work to be our best, and now the goal is to win tomorrow against Cagliari.”
Let's not forget that among the other nominees were Juventus’ Sambuel Mbangula (Golden Boy Web) and Eva Schatzer, in the Italian Golden Girl category.
