Allievi Nazionali: Juventus 4-3 Parma, Trofeo di Arco semi-final
A last-gasp Moussa Ndiaye header settled a thrilling semi with Parma to book the Allievi a place in this season’s Trofeo di Arco “Beppe Viola” final with today’s 4-3 victory in Aldeno.
Having claimed a semi-final spot following wins over Napoli and Atalanta, Felice Tufano’s youngsters got off to a flying start when Andrea Ferrando shot them in front on seven minutes.
Things got even better ahead of the break thanks to Fabio Morselli, who doubled their lead from a corner, before the striker helped himself to a second ten minutes into the restart.
It appeared the Bianconeri had wrapped up a spot in the final, but a spirited Parma had other ideas, clawing two goals back by the midway point of the second half through Nicolo Bruschi.
And with the momentum firmly with the Gialloblu, Nicholas Pierini completed the turnaround when he converted Bruschi’s assist with just four minutes remaining.
This, however, stirred Juventus into a dramatic response, with Ndiaye heading home at the death to send the Bianconeri bench into raptures and seal a place in Tuesday’s final against Hellas Verona, who beat Nordsjaelland on penalties.
Giovanissimi Nazionali: Juventus 2-1 Alessandria
Goals either side of half-time enabled Claudio Gabetta’s Giovanissimi to strengthen their grip on second place with today’s 2-1 win over Alessandria in Vinovo.
Nicolo D’Agostino shot the hosts into the lead on 11 minutes and Gianluca Sbordone doubled the advantage four minutes into the second half, rendering Oberti’s goal a mere consolation for the visitors.
The result leaves the Bianconeri four points adrift of league leaders Genoa, with an away trip to Savona on the agenda next week.
Primavera: Juventus 2-3 Fiorentina
The Primavera missed the chance to close the gap at the top of the table as league leaders Fiorentina came away from Stadio Silvio Piola with all three points thanks to a late 3-2 win this lunchtime.
Despite the hosts looking good value for an opener, it was in fact the Viola who took the lead on 28 minutes through Simone Minelli, who collected a cross before rifling a low shot into the back of the net from close range.
Juventus got back on level terms within 60 seconds of the restart, with Luca Clemenza sending a tidy left-footed finish home. His fine effort was then bettered by Roman Macek, who crashed a stunning strike underneath the angle of post and bar on 64 minutes.
Their lead, however, would prove short-lived, as Fiorentina drew level when Bangu converted from the spot four minutes later.
And it was to be the visitors who eventually took the spoils, settling the affair through Filippo Bandinelli’s unstoppable strike on the volley with seven minutes remaining.
