A smile from Cristiana Girelli, who today blew out the candles for her 30th birthday. The Bianconere striker, after having appeared on A Casa Con La Juve a few weeks ago, was today a guest of Sky Italia on this special occasion and received many birthday wishes from her teammates and from one of her idols, Juventus Legend, Alessandro Del Piero.
Once the emotions had settled down, Cristiana spoke about this current period, as well as the future: "The idea was to have a super party, but life is unpredictable. I can't wait to start playing again, I'm training to keep this positive streak and hopefully come back to celebrating goals soon. Even after we exited the World Cup, after the disappointment had subsided I couldn't wait to get going again again."
Girelli also casted her mind back to the big Premiere at Allianz Stadium, with the anniversary just a few weeks ago: "This time last year, we were coming to the end of the season and the match at the Allianz was unforgettable. I remember the excitement when we knew that the stadium would be sold-out. The stakes were very high as we were playing the Scudetto, it became a celebration within a celebration."
From the past to the future, Girelli commented: "I don't see myself in any other shirt than Juventus, because I think that I have reached the maximum level, playing here is an honour. The Champions League final in Turin in 2022 is one of my goals. I like to dream big and I always want to win, the only thing we can do is train and improve."
Finally, three birthday wishes: "The first is for things to return to normal, the second is to take away a lot of satisfaction in the world of football, and the third to wake up happy every morning!"
