The reigning champions of Italy have strengthened their hand for the coming season with the signing of Aleksandra Sikora. The 27-year-old Polish defender arrives at the Bianconere, having spent last season at Brescia, before previously playing for Medyk Konin in her native Poland.
Born in Czarnocin, Poland on February 7, 1991, Sikora began her professional career with Promien Mosty then joining Medyk Konin, a Polish team that were not only were promoted to the top flight with her in the side, but also won three championships, six Supercups. In addition, the team participated in the Women's Champions League, a competition that Juventus Women will make their debut in this season. Sikora has brings valuable experience having made 14 Champions League appearances and scored as many goals.
Last season at Brescia, Sikora won the Italian Super Cup with the Lombardy club, playing a total of 20 games and scoring four goals.
Equipped with great vision, Sikora can play in a number of roles, whilst having a real knack for goals. Sikora made her Poland national team debut in 2011 and became a mainstay, earning the captaincy three years later while currently the vice captain. Sikora has 66 matches and six goals for the Polish women's national team. Sikora will bring much valued experience to Rita Guarino's girls for the coming campaign.
