Tomorrow evening at 20:45 CET Juventus will take on Atalanta at the Allianz Stadium in their final game of the first half of the 2022/23 Serie A season. Coach Allegri gave a run down of the current situation on and off the field.
NEW LEAGUE POSITION
“Tomorrow’s game is a big one. We need to end this first half of the season on a high. After being handed a 15-point penalty yesterday we’ve got to close ranks, keep our heads down and put in some hard graft, focusing solely on football. It has no bearing on our approach – we’ve still got to get points on the board, win games, take things step by step and never stop working. There are 60 points still up for grabs.”
“The legal proceedings are in the hands of other people at the club. There will be an appeal, but given the change in our league standings we have to try to really make the most out of the coming matches. We’ve got to do what we can. The final verdict will be issued in two months and we can’t look back in anger.”
“This morning I had a word with Maurizio Scanavino about yesterday’s events and today at 14:30 both President Gianluca Ferrero and Scanavino will address the team before training. We’ve been docked 15 points and we can’t shy away from that, even if it may be temporary. We’ll look for any silver lining. When faced with difficulties you’ve got to take responsibility. We’ve got to move on from what happened yesterday and as a team we’ll just try our best as always. On a personal note I’m very sorry for Andrea Agnelli, Pavel Nedved, Maurizio Arrivabene, Federico Cherubini and Paolo Garimberti.”
ATALANTA CLASH
“Atalanta are playing fantastically and are fighting fit. We’ll need our fans to give us an extra boost. While Paul Pogba and Dusan Vlahovic won’t be in contention until the Monza game next week Juan Cuadrado may feature tomorrow. Adrien Rabiot didn’t train normally with the team but there’s a chance that he’ll be fine to face Atalanta.”
Con la gara di domani sera (ore 20,45) dell’Allianz Stadium, la Juventus chiude il girone d’andata della Serie A. Oggi come di consueto Mister Massimiliano Allegri ha parlato alla vigilia del match di campionato contro l’Atalanta.
LA NUOVA CLASSIFICA
«La gara di domani è importante, dobbiamo chiudere il girone d’andata nel migliore dei modi. Dopo la penalizzazione di 15 punti arrivata ieri dobbiamo compattarci ancora di più tutti, continuare a lavorare con il profilo basso e pensare solo al campo. Per noi non cambia niente, dobbiamo fare punti e cercare di vincere le partite facendo un passo alla volta e continuando a lavorare. Abbiamo 60 punti a disposizione in campionato. Le vicende giudiziarie riguardano la società, ci sarà un ricorso, vista la nuova classifica dobbiamo affrontare tutte le prossime partite provando ad ottenere il massimo. Dobbiamo continuare a fare il nostro dovere, la sentenza definitiva ci sarà tra due mesi, e non dovremo avere rimpianti. Stamattina ho parlato con Maurizio Scanavino di quello che è successo ieri, oggi alle ore 14:30 sia il presidente Ferrero che Scanavino parleranno alla squadra prima dell’allenamento. Il -15 è un dato di fatto, momentaneo, ma è un dato di fatto. Tutte le situazioni vanno trasformate in opportunità. Nei momenti di difficoltà bisogna assumersi le responsabilità. Bisogna accettare la sentenza di ieri, noi della parte sportiva faremo il massimo come sempre. Sono molto dispiaciuto, a livello personale, per Andrea Agnelli, Pavel Nedved, Maurizio Arrivabene, Federico Cherubini e Paolo Garimberti».
LA SFIDA CONTRO L’ATALANTA
«L’Atalanta sta giocando molto bene ed è in ottima forma fisica, abbiamo bisogno dei tifosi. La settimana prossima rientreranno Pogba e Vlahovic contro il Monza, domani torna a disposizione Cuadrado. Rabiot ieri ha fatto allenamento differenziato ma dovrebbe essere a posto».
