Coach Rita Guarino and goalkeeper Laura Giuliani spoke on the eve of the return leg fixture of the UEFA Women's Champions League against Barcelona.

“We are aware of the value of Barcelona, but this does not mean that we have to think that the 0-2 of the first leg is a definitive result. We will play our game, trying to improve, starting from what we worked on: we have kept the balance, and this is an objective fact that cannot be ignored. We need to find an additional conviction: the one we can dare. We must try and win, knowing that if you leave the field, Barcelona does not hold back. More spaces were opened in the final round of the first leg and I noticed more initiative on our part, and I realized how dangerous we can be. Therefore, let us free ourselves from the fears of abandoning the coverage areas and accelerate, because it is an attitude that, despite the risks, gives confidence.”

“Compared to the first leg, it will be a completely different match on their part and certainly on our part. At Moccagatta, we waited for them with a low defensive line, this time we will try to overturn the result. We are a team that gives its best with aggression. The result of the first leg may give us less pressure, but we are still playing against one of the strongest teams in Europe. Fear? On the contrary, we are happy to compete at such a level. We will put in a lot of courage, sacrifice and we will try to put on a show. Because this, is in itself, is a show. We are convinced of our means and will play the best possible match.”
