It's right to savour the moment after a performance like tonight's but there must be no getting carried away because even bigger challenges await. That was Giorgio Chiellini's view after Juventus came away from Borussia Dortmund with a resounding 3-0 victory.
"We have to stay calm. Of course we can enjoy this evening – it's great for morale and our confidence – but we mustn't forget that we have lots more big games to play."
What's the best thing about tonight's match in Dortmund? "The way we kept our heads for the entire 90 minutes. We were switched on at all times and went about our game plan without running any risks.
"One of Borussia's main strengths is winning the ball back and hitting you quickly, so we were very careful not to get caught out in that sort of situation."
On top of all that, a certain Carlitos Tevez was in fine fettle. "He was a cut above the rest. He helped us win the game tonight but he needs the team to support him and put him in a position that allows him to turn it on like he did tonight."
Chiello was typically sincere when asked if he had any preferences for Friday's draw: "If I can choose, I'd rather not play Bayern. But in any case we're looking forward to the draw – it's exciting to be in it."
