SAMI KHEDIRA & GONZALO HIGUAIN
Mainstays in Juventus’ starting XI since signing for the club in 2015 and 2016 respectively, Sami Khedira and Gonzalo Higuain were also regulars during their years with Real Madrid.
Khedira played with Los Blancos from 2010 to 2015, winning the UEFA Champions League in 2014 and La Liga in 2012. He played 102 matches in the league, scoring six goals, while his 34 UCL showings for Real and 22 for the Bianconeri make him the highest capped of Juve’s current midfielders in Europe’s premier club competition.
Higuain played with Real from 2007 to 2013, scoring 121 goals in 264 games across all competitions, winning La Liga three times. The Argentine forward has turned out in the Champions League 48 times for Real and 21 for Juve.
LUIS DEL SOL
Between 1959 and 1970, Luis Del Sol represented only two clubs: Real Madrid first and then Juventus. With Los Blancos (1959-62) he won a European Cup, an Intercontinental Cup, a Copa Del Rey and two league championships, while at Juventus he lifted an Italian Cup, a Scudetto and a “Coppa delle Alpi.”
MICHAEL LAUDRUP
Danish football legend, Michael Laudrup enjoyed four years of triumphs with Juventus (1985-1989) before two successful seasons in Madrid (1994-96). The former midfield magician celebrated a Scudetto and Intercontinental Cup with the Bianconeri and a La Liga title with Real.
ZINEDINE ZIDANE
Real Madrid’s current manager, Zinedine Zidane, enjoyed a glorious five-year playing career at Juventus between 1996 and 2001, winning the European Super Cup, an Intercontinental Cup, two Scudetti and an Italian Super Cup.
FABIO CANNAVARO & EMERSON
In 2006, two Juventus players made the move from Juventus to Real Madrid: Fabio Cannavaro and Emerson. After raising two Scudetto titles at Juventus, they also conquered La Liga together in the 2006/2007 season. While Emerson spent just one year in Madrid, Cannavaro spent a total of three campaigns in the Spanish capital, where he would win another championship and the Spanish Super Cup.
ALVARO MORATA
A goal in the Champions League semi-final (against Real at the Bernabeu) and one in the 2015 Berlin final, two Scudetti, two Coppa Italia titles and an Italian Super Cup: this is Alvaro Morata's record during two years at Juventus (2014-2016). The Madrid-born forward, a product of Real’s youth sector, then returned to the Spanish capital for the 2016/17 season.

• Zidane's chipped penalty beat Gianluigi Buffon in the 2006 FIFA World Cup final in Berlin, but Super Gigi then denied the Frenchman with a great save at the end of the match, before Italy prevailed on penalties.
• Mandžukić played for Atlético Madrid in 2014/15, facing Real Madrid seven times (W4 D2 L1). The Croatian won both Liga derbies against Real, netting in a 4-0 home victory on 7 February 2015. He also struck in Atlético's 2-1 aggregate triumph in the Spanish Super Cup.
• Mateo Kovačić played for Inter between January 2013 and 2015; his record against Juve was W0 D2 L3.
• Toni Kroos, starting alongside Khedira in Germany's midfield, faced Gigi Buffon, Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini in the UEFA EURO 2016 quarter-finals. Both Barzagli and Kroos converted in the shoot-out as Germany prevailed.
• Chiellini got the first goal as Italy scalped Spain 2-0 in the UEFA EURO 2016 round of 16 to eliminate the holders. Buffon and Barzagli also played for the Azzurri, with Sergio Ramos and Lucas Vázquez featuring for Spain.
• Karim Benzema scored and also missed a penalty as France beat Stephan Lichtsteiner's Switzerland 5-2 in the 2014 World Cup group stage.
