Mattia De Sciglio put in a commanding performance at full-back against Benevento today, his first league start for Juventus, helping the club celebrate its 120th birthday in perfect fashion.
"We were a bit slow at the start, finding it difficult to get into space and move the ball quickly," said De Sciglio after a tough match, especially in the first half. "We moved better after half-time. We increased the tempo well and turned the score around."
Now he’s overcome his recent injury, the Bianconeri defender is ready to show his full worth.
"I’m calm because here at Juve I’m playing for one of the top clubs in Italy and Europe," De Sciglio concluded. "The motivation for coming here speaks for itself.
"I feel the coach is showing confidence in me and every day I try to give everything in training and help the team in matches as best as I can. I’ll continue to work at my game because you can always improve every single day."
