Manchester City vs Bournemouth

Manchester City host newly-promoted Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon (kick-off at 16.00 CEST) hoping to record a seventh Premier League victory of the season and maintain their lead at the top of the division. After suffering two defeats on the trot to West Ham and Tottenham respectively, Manuel Pellegrini’s men returned to winning ways in their last outing, beating Newcastle United 6-1. Sergio Aguero scored five that day, but the Citizens will be without their Argentine talisman for the visit of Bournemouth after the forward picked up an injury whilst on international duty. In his absence, Wilfried Bony is expected to make a rare start against Eddie Howe’s men, who have lost three of four away games so far in their maiden top-flight campaign.

Eibar vs Sevilla

Sevilla head into Saturday evening’s match away at Eibar (kick-off at 18.15 CEST) with a chance to claim a third successive victory in La Liga, following wins against Rayo Vallecano and Barcelona just before the international break. After finding the net just twice in their opening four fixtures, Unai Emery’s men have now scored five in their last two games, but come up against tough opposition in Eibar, the Basque outfit sitting in seventh place after a fairytale rise from the third division in just over two seasons.

Frankfurt vs Borussia Monchengladbach

Borussia Monchengladbach travel to Frankfurt on Saturday evening (kick-off at 18.30 CEST) looking to continue from where they left off before the international break. The Foals put together three consecutive wins under interim coach Andre Schubert to exit the relegation zone and a fourth victory this weekend would see them leapfrog Frankfurt in the table, who also sit on nine points, and start to make a surge towards the European-qualification spots. The Adler, meanwhile, will hope to put behind them a disappointing defeat to Ingolstadt last time out with what would be only a second home triumph of the campaign if they manage to beat in-form Borussia.
