The Bianconeri jerseys will be on the fields of the "fourth category" a football tournament dedicated exclusively to children with cognitive and relational disabilities.
Created on January 18, thanks to the Memorandum of Understanding between Centro Sportivo Italiano and FIGC and the collaboration of AIAC, AIA, AIC, League A, Lega Serie B, Lega Pro, Lnd, Figc and Csi, "Fourth category" can lead forward their message of social integration through pairing teams involved in the project and big clubs in Italy. A partnership with Juventus has been created with the team Pinerolo FD which will provide the technical instruction and the famous black and white kit.
This morning, the presentation of the second edition of the tournament, held at Bettinelli Sport Center of Milan, saw Gianluca Pessotto deliver the uniforms to Pinerolo, who now take the field with the Bianconeri colors and will be named Juventus Special: "It's extraordinary to see how much passion and emotion these guys live in sport," said Pessotto. "We are happy to have joined this project, to have adopted Pinerolo FD and to help the kids to demonstrate what really makes them special."
In addition to Juventus, the tournament featured Brescia, Chievo, Feralpisalò, Fiorentina, Inter, Milan, Monza, Novara, Reggiana, Sassuolo, Turin, Udinese and Venice. Players were given the AIC cards and the Italian Footballers Association and afterwards, General Director of Serie A Marco Brunelli officially kicked off the tournament with matches of 30 minutes featuring unlimited substitutions.
The Bianconeri, led by Pessotto, started out with a classic of the Italian championship facing Milan, on whose bench Franco Baresi sat. Our Juventus boys scored a 3-0 win saluting the team with a traditional "Fino Alla Fine Forza Juventus Special!"
