Juventus and Save the Children: a collaboration that began in 2018, focusing on the education and growth of younger generations, and which today is renewed with a gesture full of meaning.

Save the Children, the organisation that has been fighting for over 100 years to save children at risk and guarantee them a future, will now be present on the Juventus men's and women's first team shirts! The season opener will take place this evening with Thiago Motta’s side facing Como 1907 in Serie A Enilive, while tomorrow it will be the turn of the women's first team coached by Massimiliano Canzi, who will take on FC Bayern Women in a friendly.

This new initiative is part of the path chosen by the two organisations, fuelled by the desire to combat educational inequalities. Juventus, in keeping with its name, dedicates the focus of its strategy, both sporting and social, to young people, through initiatives that support their education, growth and integration. In this sense, Save the Children has been the ideal partner for years, due to its constant commitment to protecting girls and boys, especially those living in fragile situations, and its desire to achieve significant and lasting changes in their lives.

The best example of these two organisations coming together can be seen at Save the Children's Punto Luce in Turin's La Vallette district, 800 metres from the Allianz Stadium, which Juventus has helped to redevelop and support. An Educational Hub aimed at helping children and adolescents from 0 to 18 years old, launched in 2019 and then renovated and expanded in July 2022. Punto Luce offers support to children and families in economically and socially fragile conditions, and allows them to benefit from educational opportunities that are essential for their development, including study support, offering reading, art and music workshops, and access to new technologies, sports and motor activities.

The ethical relationship between Juventus and Save the Children, which will continue over the coming years, aims to support minors in conditions of socio-economic disadvantage and in areas lacking adequate educational opportunities, and is also thanks to the commitment of the Fondazione Agnelli, a non-profit institution specialised in the field of education that collaborates with both organisations.

“Juventus is proud to be able to emphasise its valued relationship with Save the Children, in which it has believed and committed for several years”, said Maurizio Scanavino, CEO of Juventus. “Two global organisations with more than a century of history, which will now also come together on the iconic and prestigious Juventus shirt”.

“It is fundamental to break down all the barriers that prevent children and adolescents from having equal educational opportunities”, said Daniela Fatarella, Director General of Save the Children. “The partnership with Juventus is a step in that direction. With its long-standing commitment, Juventus supports so many minors and raises awareness about the importance of education.”

With this significant gesture, we wish to continue our shared commitment to give children the tools to grow, smile and dream, and perhaps one day to wear this very shirt.
