Juventus Women to compete in Serie A

Juventus Football Club will enter teams in both the 2017/18 Women’s Serie A and Primavera Femminile (U19) having officially completed the acquisition of the sporting rights of Cuneo Calcio Femminile ASD.

Although the news of the Bianconeri’s planned participation in the women’s top flight was broken a couple of weeks ago, today’s announcement signals a green light for coach Rita Guarino to begin building her squad for next season.

The move marks the latest step towards developing the women’s game in Italy on the part of the country’s governing body the Federazione Giuco Calcio (FIGC).
