After experiencing pure elation in the final group match, Sweden and Dejan Kulusevski’s journey in the Euro 2020 came to an end last night.
The Bianconero started from the first minute against Ukraine at Hampden Park yesterday evening, in a match where Ukraine took the lead through Zinchenko in the 27th minute. Forsberg responded with an equalizer in the 43rd minute of the game.
A goalless second half meant both teams went into extra time and just as the fixture looked destined to end in a penalty shoot-out, Dovbyk struck late in stoppage time of extra time to ensure a 2-1 victory for Shevchenko’s charges.
On Friday evening, Alvaro Morata will be in action for Spain against Switzerland (kick-off at 18:00), before Bonucci, Chiellini, Chiesa and Bernardeschi take on Belgium in the quarter-finals (kick-off at 21:00 CEST).
