"Tutti a Scuola" (Everyone At School) is the name of the inauguration ceremony of the Scholastic Year 2019/2020, which was held in L'Aquila, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and of the Minister of Education, University and Research, Lorenzo Fioramonti.
Numerous personalities from the world of sport, entertainment and culture took part in the event. Among them the Juventus captain Sara Gama, representing sport together with swimmer Simona Quadarella, and two Paralympic athletes Lorenzo Marcantognini and Margherita Paciolla. Accompanying them were the President of CONI, Giovanni Malagò, and the President of the Paralympic Committee, Luca Pancalli.
"School and sport are fundamental," said Gama. "For me, the school has played an important role, it has allowed me to do so much sporting activity. My advice? Have fun and follow your passion." She then handed over her black-and-white shirt to Marcantognini, an athlete and paralympic footballer.
The event was attended by around one thousand students, who represent 350 institutes from all over Italy. The choice of L'Aquila as a venue was symbolic, ten years after the April 2009 earthquake.
