On 10 August, Juventus Women’s manager, Rita Guarino will get her team together at Vinovo before heading to a training retreat at Aymavilles, Valle d’Aosta as they prepare for an historic first season competing in the Women’s Serie A championship for Juventus.
To make matters even more special, their very first fixture is a local derby against Torino Calcio Femminile in the opening round (1st leg) of the Coppa Italia on 27 August at 16.30 CEST. The return leg, meanwhile, will be a home game on 10 September (also at 16.30 CEST) in Vinovo.
So far Juventus have signed 12 players for their inaugural campaign. Starting from the back, goalkeepers Laura Giuliani and Federica Russo have arrived from Freiburg and Luserna San Bernardo respectively.
In defence, Finnish international Tuija Hyryynen has signed from Fortuna Hjorring. Accompanying her will be Italian internationals Sara Gama and Cecilia Salvai who have both joined from Brescia Calcio Femminile, alongside Italian Under 19 international Martina Lenzini also from Brescia.
Finally completing the defensive acquisitions is 20-year-old Lisa Boattin from Verona Calcio Femminile.
The midfield so far will be composed of Italian internationals Martina Rosucci and Valentina Cernoia, again both joining from Brescia. Meanwhile, Aurora Galli arrives from Verona and Italian Under 19, Arianna Caruso has made the switch to Turin from Res Roma.
Finally rounding off the team, forward Barbara Bonansea will be at Rita Guarino’s disposal after joining from Brescia.
