Juventus’ upcoming Champions League opponents Monaco recorded their second home draw in four days following Tuesday evening’s 0-0 league stalemate with Montpellier at the Stade Louis II.
Looking to keep pace with the teams above them in the title race, Leonardo Jardim’s men dominated proceedings throughout but were unable to find their way past a stubborn Montpellier outfit.
The visitors, meanwhile, had the best opportunity of the evening when they were awarded a penalty on 52 minutes. However, Lucas Barrios blazed his effort from 12 yards over Daniel Subasic’s crossbar.
Today’s result sees Jardim’s troops remain fourth in the standings, two points behind Marseille who were beaten 3-2 by Ligue 1 leaders PSG on Sunday evening.
