“Secondo Tempo - La storia di Simone Muratore” is the latest Original produced by Juventus Creator Lab, available both in Italy and selected regions abroad, starting from today, Thursday 24 April, exclusively on DAZN. It tells of a touching, complex and deeply human journey: that of Simone Muratore, a young Italian football talent who grew up in the Juventus youth sector and whose career as a player was marked and halted by a sudden event.
Simone Muratore's story goes beyond football. It is the story of a dream interrupted by a brutal diagnosis - a neurocytoma in the left ventricle - that forced him to halt is playing career at just 23 years of age. After going through rehabilitation, Simone tried with everything he had to get back onto the pitch and pick up where he left off, yet was unable to do so. But in football, after the first half, there is always the second to be played, with the same ambition and determination. As of this season, Simone has become a technical collaborator in the Juventus youth sector: a role in which, using his past experience, he has the chance to pass on his passion and values to the youngsters who, as he did thirteen years ago, enter the gates of the Allianz Training Centre in Vinovo for the first time.
“Secondo Tempo” is not just a sports production: it is a tribute to transformation, to the strength of reacting with tenacity to the unpredictability of life, recalibrating one's priorities with profound dignity.
