Juventus’ upcoming Champions League opponents Monaco geared up for next week’s quarter-final first leg with a routine 3-0 victory away at Caen on Friday evening.
Leonardo Jardim’s men, who were approaching the game on the back of two consecutive home draws, went ahead just shy of the half-hour mark when Anthony Martial’s effort went in off the post.
All three points were then sealed in the second half courtesy of a Bernado Silva double. The first arrived on 64 minutes after the Portuguese midfielder converted following a corner, before his deft lob made it 3-0 with six minutes remaining.
Yesterday’s result sees Monaco momentarily leapfrog Marseille into third place, with L’OM due to travel to sixth-placed Bordeaux on Sunday evening.
