Carlos Tevez was the star of the show with a pair of superbly taken goals and an unselfish lay-off for Alvaro Morata to net the other. He was the man who led the charge as Juve crushed Borussia 0-3 in Germany, recording a 5-1 aggregate score. And so it was only natural that he should be first up to the cameras to discuss the game after the final whistle.
"I thought we were all magnificent tonight," he purred. "I just do my job out there: it's the team that wins matches."
Nine balls recovered, a 91% pass completion rate, two goals and an assist – that was the "job" he did at Signal Iduna Park.
Does this result prove Juventus have come of age in Europe? Tevez had the following to say: "We know that every Champions League game is a big step up for Juve but we're on the right path."
