It's a welcome return for Martin Caceres, who from today is officially, once more a Juventus player. It's the third spell at the club for the Uruguayan, having played for Juventus in the 2009/10 season on loan from Barcelona, ​​and from 2012-2016, arriving initially loan from Sevilla before being purchased outright. Now he returns to Turin again, thanks to a loan agreement with Lazio.

AGREEMENT WITH LAZIO FOR THE TEMPORARY ACQUISITION OF THE PLAYER MARTIN CACERES

Turin, 29 January 2019 - Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that the agreement with S.S. Lazio S.p.A. for the temporary acquisition, until 30 June 2019, of the registration rights of the player Jose Martin Caceres Silva has been finalized for a consideration of € 0.6 million, to be paid in the current financial year.

Caceres is one of those players who you can always tell wears his heart on his sleeve in his performances, whilst his goals have often been very important. His honours in Bianconero speak for themselves, winning five consecutive Serie A titles (2012-16), two Coppa Italias (2015 & 2016), three Italian Super Cups (2012, 2013 & 2015), accumulating a total of 110 matches and seven goals. For his national team, Uruguay, Caceres has racked up 86 appearances with four goals, also winning a Copa America with La Celeste, taking part in three World Cups, including the most recent in Russia. Caceres debuted with Uruguayan side, Defensor, before moving to La Liga, representing Villarreal, Recreativo De Huelva, Barcelona and Sevilla. Following his second experience with Juventus, he went on to wear the shirt of Southampton in the Premier League and those of Hellas Verona and Lazio in Serie A. In addition to bringing his international experience and in-depth knowledge of the Juve world, El Pelado is a defender with great technique, dynamism and flexibility, being able to play both in a central position and on the flanks, with an enviable eye for goal. With Caceres in fact scoring on both his previous Bianconeri debuts, firstly in 2009, in Rome against Lazio, and then in 2012, netting a brace in the first leg of the Coppa Italia vs. Milan in the San Siro. He now begins his third spell at Juventus, with the hope that he can continue to add to his honours with the Bianconeri. Welcome back, Martin!
