05 November 2022
At the indoor arena Oval Lingotto from Novmeber 4-6, it is time for Artissima 2022.
And for the fourth year, this once again includes Artissima Junior, the collaboration with Juventus, dedicated to the youngest visitors to the event in Turin.
As always, children between the ages of 6 and 11 will be involved in an immersive hands-on artistic experience.
The third edition of Artissima Junior sees the artist Giovanni Ozzola (born in Florence in 1982) of the Galleria Continua (San Gimignano, Beijing, Les Moulins, Havana, Rome, Sao Paulo, Paris, Dubai) conceive and guide 'BRILLA. A constellation', a collective work of art at the centre of which is a reflection on the concept of uniqueness.
How? Accompanying the children in a parallelism with the stars, the artist will invite them to understand how unique they are and how their identity and diversity is fundamental for the future of our society and our world. Playing with a symbolic firmament that becomes a canvas, with a ball that becomes a star and with the colours that become the unrepeatable traces, the passage of each participant leaves a unique trace.
The goal is to let the children discover how much the stars shine for diversity, how many ties they have between them in the constellations and how much they resemble us in our relationship with others, our feeling of being a group, our teaming up each with one's own role, own style, own strengths and weaknesses.
At the end of the four-day workshop, the artist himself will leave an authorial gesture on the work, composing magical constellations resulting from the bonds between the stars of each participating child.
'BRILLA. A constellation' is also an art book that will accompany children on a path to self-discovery through play to understand how creativity can be a magical key to reality. Animated by stickers, drawings, and creative instructions, the art book becomes a path and a reminder of the moments spent at Artissima Junior, training in creativity, an artistic gym to understand the conceptual value of contemporary art.
And that's not all. For this edition of Artissima Junior Giovanni Ozzola has created twenty-six nine (2022), a new work created inside the Allianz Stadium in Juventus. The artist will provide each participant with a print of the photograph so that everyone can become a small collector of contemporary art.
So, everyone at Artissima Junior!
Friday 4 and Saturday 5 November from 14:00 to 19:00 CET; Sunday 6 November from 14:00 to 18:00 CET.
